What is changing
For countries with a color marking requirement, Lunarcat now uses colored PLA parts instead of orange tape.
The parts are made for each gun model and attached to the muzzle.
The color and length follow the law of the destination country.
Airsoft Compliance is also being extended from the United States to every country where a colored muzzle part meets the marking requirement.
Note that Airsoft Compliance does not cover firing power adjustments.
Why
Airsoft guns shipped to the US used to be marked with orange tape on the tip.
However, this did not strictly meet the US requirements.
Most of these shipments passed customs, but a few were seized depending on the customs officer.
This change is made to strictly meet the legal requirements and provide a safer experience for our customers.
What this means for you
The chance of seizure was already low, and it is now close to zero.
A good amount was invested in this change, but we decided not to increase the Airsoft Compliance fee.
Removing the colored part
If you prefer the gun without the colored part, it can be removed cleanly with heat.
Apply weak heat to the glued surface.
This will weaken the bond.
Our recommended method is blowing it with a hair dryer.
For first time users
We take care of all compliance requirements.
There is no need to ask or remind us to modify guns for your destination.
Airsoft guns shipping to countries with a color marking requirement are modified automatically, and the fee is charged with the shipping payment.
